The industry penetrates a residents answering-machine barrier with a new technology called predictive dialers (PD). Predictive dialers now are used to make about 85 percent of all types of "live" solicitation calls (sales/survey/nonprofit/political) to residents because they increase agent "talk time" by reducing time between pitches.
